Student and Academic Data

  • Your Data: Only authorized account holders at your institution or university can access your institution or university’s data.

  • Sharing of Data: Any data that is shared is only in aggregate form and cannot be attributed to any specific school or individual.

Confidentiality

  • Authentication: Customer accounts have unique usernames and passwords that must be entered each time a user logs on. 

  • Student Authentication: Students utilize unique registration codes or access keys to access Peregrine systems.

  • Data Encryption: Any sensitive user data that is required to be stored is stored in an encrypted format. Peregrine Global does not store credit card data.

Availability

All Peregrine Global customer information systems and infrastructure are hosted in world-class, US-based data centers.  These data centers include all the necessary physical security including restricted entry by biometric authentication and 24x7x365 surveillance.

  • Uptime: Continuous uptime monitoring, with immediate escalation to Peregrine Global staff for any downtime.

  • Power: Uninterruptible power supplies provide against power outages and protect against sags, surges, swells, spikes and electrical noise.

  • Cooling: N+2 redundant chiller configuration and redundant water sources ensure consistent temperatures are maintained throughout data center facilities.

  • HVAC: Each data center facility has redundant HVAC systems designed for immediate failover, and are equipped with air handling units to remove dust and contaminants.

  • Network: Each data center facility is built with a robust network includes 4 transit providers allowing us to shift traffic as necessary and guards against any single points of failure.

  • Backup Frequency: Backups occur daily at multiple US-based, geographically disparate sites.

Vulnerability Management

  • Information Security Policies: Peregrine Global maintains internal information security policies, including incident response plans, and regularly reviewed and updated.

  • Access: Access controls to sensitive data in our databases, systems, and environments are set on a need-to-know / least privilege necessary basis.

Handling of Security Breaches

In the unlikely event of a Data Breach, it is the policy of Peregrine Global to notify affected users immediately.  Notification procedures include providing email notices and posting a notice on our website.

Peregrine Global is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with provisions of the GDPR. The information Peregrine Global collects is limited to that which is necessary to provide the products and services you request. Student and faculty information is only kept as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected.
